Workers’ Compensation
An innovative and proactive approach to handling Workers Compensation claims.
Nurse Triage
The Nurse Triage is a 24-Hour Hotline Triage program for all new workers’ compensation claims. Injured workers and their managers have the ability to report claims to a live registered nurse for intake and direction of initial treatment.
Nurses can triage injuries over the phone, often getting injured workers into urgent care facilities, saving the costs of unnecessary emergency room care.
Provider Bill Review
eRisk provides substantial medical costs savings through a robust Medical and Provider Bill Review program. Lost time claims have the potential to become very costly.
Strategic use of the following claims programs have a major impact on reducing unnecessary costs and expediting claim resolution.
Nurse Case Management
eRisk understands the critical importance of Nurse Case Management for loss time claims.
It is eRisks’ practice to use telephonic Nurse Case Management on almost every lost time claim. Nurse case managers look for opportunities to intercede specifically on “trigger injuries,” such as head, back, neck, shoulders, knees, psychological, and carpel tunnel.
Official Disability Guidelines (ODG)
eRisk uses Official Disability Guidelines (ODG) as a process not an event. Our adjusters set initial reserves to ODG guidelines and then monitors the progress of a claim to the timeframes listed.
ODG ensures that injury claims are handled based on the most current and accurate evidence based medical standards.
Return to Work
InsurCard Virtual Card
eRisk was one of the first to implement this creative approach to address payments to injured workers. This program allows claimants receive a personalized card and payments are issued to the card automatically.
Paying by debit card reduces fraud and helps avoid costly overpayments
